Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the validity of 45 and 200-meter speed run as anaerobic tests. In this research 32 male students with physical fitness
(age: 20-30 years) participated. All subjects performed anaerobic Wingate, 45 and 200-m speed run tests. Data was analyzed by regression pattern and T-test
(P<0.05). The findings of this research indicated no significant correlation between the Wingate anaerobic power and time of 45-m run test. Correlation
between minimum absolute and relative power and fatigue index and time of 200-m run test was significant (-0.40,-0.45 and 0.35 respectively, P <0.05).
However, the difference between means was significant. Conclusion: Results indicated that indexes of time of 45 and 200 - m speed run tests are not suitable
for assessing anaerobic power.
